What Is Single Skip Tracing?

Single skip tracing is a concept we've coined at Skip Tracing AI to distinguish between conducting searches individually versus utilizing our batch skip tracing feature. In a single search, you can specify your search criteria—be it a Person, Phone or Email, Property, Businesses, among others—and input specific details pertinent to your target, yielding a focused result.

What Insights Does Single Skip Tracing Provide?

Single skip tracing unveils comprehensive details vital for locating individuals and gaining insights into your targets. The data that is returned from single searching depends on the search type being used, currently Skip Tracing AI provides each user with 6 distinct search options. Have a look below at each of our options:

Now let's dive into our single search options one-by-one

1. Person Search

A Person Search will return either a single or multiple individual results depending on the input data entered for the search. For example, providing a full name and address will usually return a single result, although when providing just a name and state that can return many results that need to be analyzed.
  • In each result you will see primary and secondary contact information (phone number, and email history).
  • All relatives and associates along with their connection to the target and the latest contact information for each.
  • Address History of the target, this will contain all addresses along with a timeframe (First seen & Last seen) of association with that location.

Search Tips

Getting the Best Result

The more information provided when running a person search, the more detailed and refined the result will be. Searching just a first and last name can return hundreds of records, especially if the name is common.

Make sure you:

  • Use complete First and Last Names
  • When searching just a name, it is best to use at least the state or postal code to narrow down the results and reduce the number of records returned.

2. Phone or Email Search

This search option allows you to enter a single phone number or email address to obtain the name of the individual owner of the phone or email.
  • In each result you will see primary and secondary contact information (phone number, and email history).
  • Address History of the target phone or email, this will contain all addresses in which the phone or email has been associated with along with a timeframe (First seen & Last seen) of association with that location.

Search Tips

Getting the Best Result

Skip tracing for phone numbers and emails are highly beneficial, especially for identifying potential spam numbers and unknown email senders. When searching for a phone number, simply enter the 10-digit number.

However, skip tracing emails requires considering legal protections for private domains (e.g. @company.com), emails associated with public domains (e.g. @gmail.com, @yahoo.com) is readily available. For optimal results, focus on public domain emails.

3. Property Search

Property search is primarily used for identifying the current owner or owners of a property. You will also have the ability to skip trace the owner to obtain their contact information by clicking on their name to perform a person search.
  • In each result you will see the current owner or owners of the target address.
  • You will be able to see the Last purchased price & date, and Assessed value.
  • Once you enter the property profile you will be able to dive into the property by reviewing the overview, value, taxes and current mortgage tabs.

We have implemented an advanced feature that automatically retrieves all public addresses matching your input as you enter them. In the unlikely event that the specific address you are searching for does not appear in the generated list, a notification will be displayed: "Nothing Found from Google."

To accommodate such cases, we have introduced a convenient option below the warning called "Use Custom:". By selecting this option, you can manually enter the desired address and proceed with your search seamlessly.

4. Business Search

Searching for a business will return either a single or multiple business results depending on the input data entered for the search. For example, providing the business name, owner name and state will usually return at least two results (Active filing and New Business filing) but could return more depending on UCC filings and such. Although, providing just the business name and state can return many results that need to be analyzed.
  • In each result you will have information on the business overall, entity type, where formed, identification numbers, and principal address.
  • A list of officers and registered agents will also be provided and their associated addresses.
  • A map will be shown marking the location of the business as well as the officers locations.
